What Is Trust According To Scriptures?
Trust is believing in the promises of God in all circumstances especially in times of trials or difficulties.

Trust is holding on to God when the situation facing us is unpleasant and the evidence is to the contrary.

As believers, our trust in God is based on our faith in Him.

It is the Lord we are to trust and not ourselves. Our plans are subject to the promises of God as believers.

We must not trust in worldly wisdom or devices. We must trust God with all our hearts and commit every area of our lives to Him in complete confidence.

We must not trust in ourselves because our understanding is temporal, limited and tainted by our sinful nature.

Trusting in ourselves and in others is like running into oncoming traffic or walking confidently across an old shaky and condemned bridge that has the words “do not cross” boldly written on it.

As believers, we are to trust in God and not in riches or in the things of this world.
If we base our trust in God we will be delivered and saved from heartaches that are bound to occur when we put our trust in man.

Why Must We Trust In The Lord?
We must trust in the Lord because He alone is trustworthy (Psalm 9 v 5, Psalm 111 v 7, Titus 1 v 9).

We must trust in the Lord because His nature is faithful and true (Psalm 25 v 10).
We must trust in the Lord because His plans for us are perfect and purposeful
No matter what may come our way as believers, we must never stop trusting God because He will always come to our rescue. God is mighty to save.

Our faith may be knocked down. We may stumble, fumble and tumble but we can never be wiped off or cleaned out because the Lord is the one that upholds us with His outstretched hands (Psalm 37 v 24).
Even in the midst of trials, our trust must not waiver because our trust in God is based on our faith as well as on the promises of God.

The promises of God never fails, never perishes, never fades, never expires, never ends so don’t give up on God.
