What Is Attitude?
Literally, attitude is simply a way of thinking or feeling about something or someone which is reflected in the person’s behavior.
Attitude is also the position of the mind before the performance of an action which is based on the mental state of an individual.

Attitude can also be the manner of acting, feeling, thinking or disposition of an individual to a situation as a result of their opinion or observation of things.

Biblical Meaning of Attitude
The bible commanded in scripture that we should cultivate a Christ like attitude in all things. Our relationship with others reflects who we are through the way we think and react to issues.

As believers, the way we react to situations should be from a heart that is focused on God with total trust in Him.
We cannot say that we love God who we cannot see and hate our brother who we can see.

We cannot say we love God and live a sinful life that does not glorify God.
We cannot claim to be believers when our attitude is worse than that of an unbeliever.
We cannot claim to love God when we live in anger and cannot tolerate our fellow human beings.

We cannot claim to love God when we shame and ridicule others, gossip about others behind their backs and call others names.

We all need to adjust our attitude and exercise self-control. We should inculcate a positive attitude, a Christ-like attitude because our attitude is an outward display of what`s taking place in our hearts. We must stop the quirkiness and adjust our attitude because our attitude affects others either positively or negatively.

We must put on a pleasant attitude and reflect the joy of the Lord. Every day of our life should be an opportunity to work on our attitude and bring glory to God. We must cultivate a happy attitude even in tough times and avoid unnecessary conflicts.
Our attitude determines how we will succeed in any area of life; in our relationships, friendship, service to God and to humanity in general.

Rather than focus on the negatives, we should focus on what God has called us to do. We should focus on what is noble, right, pure, lovely admirable according to Philippians 4v8 so that our attitude can honor God.

We should practice shifting our perspective and keep our heart from growing cold and bitter. Everyone is a slave to their own emotions. We must therefore think positive thoughts and work on a positive mindset. We must be genuinely positive in our thought pattern and be optimistic about our future because our attitude in life determines our altitude.
